Qhubeka the Motive Power Movement NPC is a Non-Profit Company incorporated for public benefit. Its income and property are not distributable to its incorporators, members, directors, officers, or persons related to any of them.
Qhubeka the Motive Power Movement NPC is a Company Not For Gain Incorporated under Section 21 of the South African Companies Act (Act 61 1973). Qhubeka The Motive Power Movement NPC was registered on 26 April 2005. Qhubeka the Motive Power NPC number is 2005/012333/08.

Craig J. BRUNSDEN – Chairman
Craig is the Executive of Software of Axiz (Pty) Ltd, trading as AxizWorkgroup, where he also serves as a director of Axiz technology (Pty) Ltd. He has executive responsibility for product marketing and sales strategy for the company’s software business units on the executive committee and board of directors.
He has held several sales and product marketing management roles at the company since 1995, including Chief Marketing Officer, Executive: Client Computing and marketing and several other management roles in product marketing and sales. He serves on the company disciplinary and remuneration committees.
Craig completed a Bachelors degree of Commerce at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg in 1994.
He has a keen interest in sports including running, mountain biking, golf and watersports.
Sarah F. PHAWENI – Qhubeka Executive Director
Sarah is Managing Consultant at Swift HR Solutions, where she provides consulting expertise to clients in the fields of labour law and organisational effectiveness.
Previously she was HR manager at Axiz, Pfizer Laboratories Pty (Ltd) and Sizwe Ntsaluba vsp. She has also worked as an HR consultant for Equal Access Consulting, and as a strategic planner at Lintas advertising agency.
Sarah holds a BProc Degree from the University of Zululand, a National Diploma in Marketing and Advertising from AAA School of Advertising, and a Certificate in Human Resources Management from RAU. She has also completed the Advanced Programme in Labour Law, the Advanced Programme in Law of Patents and Trademarks, and the Advanced Programme in Company Law, through Unisa.
Anthony A. FITZHENRY
Anthony is a founding member of Qhubeka.
In 1989, Anthony founded Axiz (Pty) Ltd, which grew to become the largest IT distribution company in Africa. In 2003, he spearheaded the development of an Employee Ownership Trust, which allowed all Axiz employees to become employee owners and to democratically influence and benefit from the future growth of their company.
He is a founding member of ‘Inqolobane’, The Employee Ownership Association Africa, an organization that fosters and kindles entrepreneurial democratic equity participation for the employees of enterprises in Africa.
In 2006, Anthony was named ICT Personality of the Year by the Computer Society of South Africa, and in 2009, the South African State Information Technology Agency named Anthony one of it 15 ICT Legends for his contribution to the development of ICT in South Africa.
David H. NEISWANDER
David is Africa Director at World Bicycle Relief and President of Buffalo Bicycle Ltd. He oversees operating activities and expansion in Africa. Current countries of operation include Zambia, Zimbabwe, Kenya, South Africa, Mauritius, Angola, Malawi and Botswana.
David has developed and implemented micro-finance programmes in Zambia and Tanzania, a 23,000 bicycle programme for USAID funded health programme in Zambia, and the Bicycle Education Empowerment Programme (BEEP) in Zambia. Over 24 000 bicycles have been delivered to date through BEEP in Zambia, and David has facilitated the expansion of BEEP into Zimbabwe, South Africa and Phillippines.
Prior to joining World Bicycle Relief in 2007, David was Senior Vice President at FBR Capital Markets Corporation and before that, Vice President at Keefe, Bruyette & Woods.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree with a Major in Finance from Miami University.
