Congratulations to Team Dimension Data for Qhubeka and to Mark Cavendish who won the first stage of the 2016 Tour de France! Cavendish now has 27 TdF stage wins and for the first time will get to wear the yellow jersey at the Tour, which has long been one of his goals.
“It’s phenomenal,” he said in his post-race interview. “It’s a big goal. We came here with the hope of doing it. We wanted this. There is no bigger icon in cycling than the yellow jersey. I do this for my Dimension Data team, the continent of Africa and to try and get 5 000 kids on bicycles.”
If you’d like to help Cavendish, Team Dimension Data and Qhubeka to achieve the goal of 5 000 bicycles, you can choose to ride the Qhubeka 5 000 or make a donation to #BicyclesChangeLives.
