Team MTN-Qhubeka p/b Samsung appeals to fans to help them fund one bicycle per km that they ride at Milano SanRemo

Team MTN-Qhubeka p/b Samsung has always been about more than just winning races. We are about changing lives with bicycles, which is why we are appealing to the public to help us win at Milano SanRemo this weekend. This Sunday as a team we will leave everything on the road over 295km and we’re asking you to join us and donate to Qhubeka to fund 295 bicycles.

Qhubeka is an Nguni (Zulu, Xhosa) word that means “to carry on”, “to progress”, “to move forward”. Qhubeka is World Bicycle Relief’s Programme in South Africa.

2013 winner Gerald Ciolek appeals to fans saying, “Winning Milano SanRemo was huge, but what impressed me even more was the positive impact this win had on mobilising people in South Africa through Qhubeka. I am very much looking forward to Sunday. Knowing about the support of our fans is a big motivation, not just for the race. Let’s realise our goals and fund 295 bikes together!”

To deliver one bicycle into Qhubeka’s Bicycle Education Empowerment Programmecosts R2,250 ($225/€160/£125)

Team MTN-Qhubeka p/b Samsung is asking you to donate R295 ($29/€21/£16) and together we can help 295 people move forward.
