Lungisane’s Story

Lungisane attends Maquqa Secondary School. He is 17 years old and in grade 12. He received his Qhubeka Bicycle in March 2015.

After three years with a bicycle, Lungisane is confident that it has changed his life for the better. “It changed my life by putting me early in the school and also to get home early so that I can help my family with home duties, such as to cook for them,” he says. “One day I want to be a CA and the bicycle is helping me to attend every class during school days and holidays and it helps me to get more time to study.” Click to Tweet.

We asked him what the best thing about the bicycle is. His response? “The best thing about the bicycle is that with a bicycle you can attend every class in the school and you can go anywhere. I use to attend community events and visit my other family. Now I have time to do family duties when I get home, ant I also have time to do my homework and to study when I get to school.”
